Niv Erez, Tzvi Erez’s younger brother, was murdered at the age of 23 in a jewelry store robbery on January 17, 2000. Niv was an enthusiastic young man, who always helped others. To commemorate and remember Niv Erez z’l, proceeds from all live performances are donated to The Niv Erez Scholarship Fund at York University’s Schulich School of Business. The Scholarship Fund is set up as an endowment, renewing itself on an annual basis.
Each year, one student in the International MBA program will be awarded $1,000, to help him/her study at Tel-Aviv University in Israel, for the one year joint International MBA program. To sustain itself, the scholarship fund needs a minimum of $12,500 to begin. This will allow a $1,000 scholarship, which will be renewed annually.
Source of Funds:
Tzvi Erez, Concerts: $8,000
Public Donations: $5,118
Please note: Until the target funds is achieved, York University will NOT issue a tax receipt for donations. Once the target is achieved, donations will be considered charitable.
